How does the programme work?
The Connectome Connection applies natural neuromodulation in an intentional and targeted way so that you can gain control over your own psychology and physiology, i.e., control over your mind and body. Because the wiring of your brain is as unique to you as a fingerprint, your toolkit of natural neuromodulation techniques must be customised to the specific wiring of your connectome.
More specifically, the techniques need to be matched to how your connectome affects the way you process and cope with the world around you. Therefore, there is no “one size fits all” solution: what works for other people will not necessarily work for you.
However, by using personality profiling and sensory modality assessments that characterise your brain’s wiring, I can connect you with your connectome. From this data and using my expertise, I can then match you to the best possible combination of natural neuromodulation techniques, enabling quick and effective results.
Natural neuromodulation involves a series of physiological and psychological strategies that target both the conscious and subconscious mind.
These techniques come from a wide range of fields including the following:
-
Using physical techniques (e.g., breathing patterns and movement) to influence the nerves, neuroendocrine systems (e.g., hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis), neurotransmitters and hormones (e.g., cortisol).
-
Applying current insights from neuroscience, related to how the brain has evolved over the millennia, to understand how your unique brain interacts with the outside world and how cognitive load is affected, especially when under pressure and stress.
-
Utilising the ever-increasing discoveries about the subconscious mind and applying techniques which naturally alter the level of brainwave activity, so that the brain is able to reset and recharge. This includes elements of mindfulness and meditation.
-
Understanding the influence and impact of language and how the brain processes multi-sensory information to improve internal mental dialogue, perception and decision-making.
-
Capitalising on psychotherapeutic techniques to process any negative thoughts, or events of the past, whose unfinished business may still be consciously or unconsciously (and unnecessarily) increasing cognitive load.
Three sessions are required to connect you with your connectome and to build your toolkit. These sessions involve the following:
-
This first session is a structured session in which I will lead you through a personality profiling and sensory modality assessment to identify your unique connectome and current cognitive load.
This will help us to select the natural neuromodulation techniques best suited to your connectome.
Post-session, I will provide you with your connectome assessment outcomes and materials (e.g., audio recordings) to aid your practice of the chosen neuromodulation techniques, before the second session.
-
This second session typically takes place one week after the first session and is semi-structured.
Here, we will assess how the original neuromodulation techniques are helping manage your cognitive load and provide further strategies tailored to the outcome of your connectome assessments.
Post-session, I will provide you with additional support materials.
-
The third and final session typically takes place two weeks after the second session, and is the most free-form of the three sessions.
Here, we will again revisit how the neuromodulation strategies are working for your unique connectome and finalise a comprehensive toolkit to support your cognitive load management.
As before, I will provide material post session if needed. In addition, I grant you access to the Connectome Connection Library, which not only holds all the applicable recordings and resources, but also some additional bonus material.
This library is designed to ease your access to any materials you need for your independent practice of the techniques after the completion of the programme.
After completion of the Connectome Connection programme, there is the option of follow-up sessions to check in on your progress with your toolkit.
If you wish, you can request further training and consolidation. You can also book a follow-up session in response to any new challenges that have arisen in your life.
